We were going to do a township tour this morning but have cancelled due to the xenophobic riots that have spread to the shanty towns of the Cape. Thought it was best to play it safe rather than risk being set on fire (the picture of the Mosambique guy alight has been on the front page of newspapers around the world apparently). Our wine tour guide said we should not go.
Hence, a lazy day checking out, paying bills, using the net, visiting the post office (need to get those souvenirs back) and hopefully a massage. Tonight a fun plane trip to London – arrive 6am and then fly to Barcelona. Estimated time of arrival 2pm tomorrow.

Hi K & J,
What do I say? Am reminded of all the times we sung "wimaway" (??)
I am glad that you are having such an exciting experience and that you are now leaving Africa without having been murdered, fallen into raging torrents, or having met angry rhinos or been bitten by whatever mozzies Anne's on about!!
Now, to survive the issues in Spain, the food riots in Egypt and the gangsters in Sth America.... so I can see you both safely ensconced in Ringwood.....where excitement equates to a latte at Sallottis!!!! Rob A. is enjoying your place !
Stay safe, enjoy the sights and the opportunity while you can.
Love to you both,
Mumxx
Hi guys. We have a zebra at our place. Admittedly it's a puppet zebra... Your adventures in Africa sound enough for one holiday. But ever onward! I hope the London / Barcelona flight was okay. Absolutely nothing exciting happening here, but nothing miserable either, so no complaints. Best wishes. Looking forward to the next installment. x Clare
